Got this for my niece, who is home schooled. Dyslexia, is common in my family, and my niece was struggling with getting her letters and numbers facing the right way. I figured this would help, and it did. She was reluctant to practice on her own, but the disappearing ink made it fun enough for her to do so. "He is now holding the pen correctly!"
My child held his pen or pencil like he was going to stab someone. 😆 After almost a year of writing in Preschool and really not seeing any improvement, I said enough is enough we need something different. This picture is his first day with it and he is holding the pen correctly! He even got some of the letters in the line perfectly (when he wasn't pushing down so hard) but each time he did a good letter he went to run and show his dad 😊

My little 3 yr old granddaughter just started to use these books and absolutely loves them. My DIL went back to college to continue her education and so my granddaughter wants to imitate her. I think it’s great at 3 yrs old she is able to effectively follow the arrows and how you write the letters. I only have memories from the age of 5 and up and quite honestly I don’t remember them having pre-school in my day but I do know that kindergarten was not mandatory. 2 of my sisters went to Catholic school and they didn’t have kindergarten. I was the first in my family to have that 1 extra grade tacked on. Plus we all came to kindergarten not having any ability to write none the less form anything legible until about 2nd grade. This is amazing how intuitive a 3 yr olds mind is. I guess that is why they say it is an advantage to learn a foreign language while young. These books show that a little toddler that isn’t completely toilet trained yet but can write in her big girl books and then transfer it onto paper and you can actually read what she wrote. Amazing.
I’ve bought from Nroome before and decided to give this a go. Great for learning to write, all you do is use included pen and trace however much you want! Math and English book included, seems like it will last well, the pages are very thick and maybe laminated so you can use over and over
These books are extremely helpful for older people who have had strokes. The quicker you can get the mind to engage with the limbs the faster the recovery. Magic ink allows the books to be used over and over again. I also use the large print word search books and adult coloring books. These also help with the hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills in the hands.
My grandson love this and is definitely using it daily to try to learn to write. The only issue I have is not all the ink disappears as it should. But other than that this really is a great design and works and encouraging him to actually trace the letters.
